Rakewon is known for not only being a founding member of Wu Tang Clan, but also made headlines in 2010 after collaborating on a track with Kanye West and Justin Bieber.

As previously reported, Kwon was on featured on the remix to Justin Bieber’s “Runaway Love” alongside Kanye for the “catchy” pop anthem.

Although he was ridiculed for his decision, the emcee has long stood by the collaboration and even told MTV News that his flow on the track “fits” and is a “great sound.”

Ice Water still stands by that decision to this day but may have had a slip of the tongue when speaking on the 17-year-old pop singer.

Now in an interview with DrownedInSound.com, Kwon was asked to expound on his collaboration with Beieber and inadvertently ended up referring to the teen as a “lesbian artist.”

Or did he?

“And some people thought it was kind of crazy to do some Shyte like that, and some people respected it, because they say “yo, they paying homage“, and that’s what its all about man. I think a LESBIAN ARTIST that been in the game for a minute we need to embrace the younger generation and give them an opportunity to stand next to us and do great, great music. And Kayne definitely orchestrated that, you know, he orchestrated that in a great way and I think that like an artist like myself, I don’t discredit the younger generation.”

The interviewer made sure to add “He actually said this” to the line in question although it seems the words may have been misconstrued.

“As an artist that has been in the game for a minute…” may be the quote that got misinterpreted while listening to Ice Water speak in his trademark NY accent.

Raekwon is currently embarking on a U.S. and International tour.
