Lil Wayne is entering the shoe game. Young Money’s frontman, and lover of leopard print jeggings and furry boots, is set to expand his empire to include shoes.
In an interview with Vibe.com, Weezy explained that, aside from t-shirts and baseball caps, he will follow in the footsteps of Kanye West and Jay-Z (remember S. Dots?) with his own signature shoe.“That will probably be further way down the line,” he said. “I do have a shoe coming out soon but it won’t be Trukfit. I have [a] shoe with a well-known company. I just don’t want to say yet because I haven’t dotted the line yet. But it’s done.” Wayne failed to drop more details only saying, “It’s not a Nike or Reebok, I can tell you that much,” but when speaking to Amanda Seales on Hip Hop POV last night, he made mention to a possible collaboration with Supra.
Since being released from prison in 2010, the father of four has been all about expansion. He announced plans for the clothing line last December, and debuted the pieces in New York, in January.
