Rihanna just kicked off her Diamonds world tour Friday (March 9), and it’s already hit a snag. The Bajan beauty was forced to cancel her Boston tour stop after losing her voice.

Rih Rih’s first stop was at the First Niagara Center, in Buffalo, N.Y.,  where she performed a set that included all of the tracks off Unapologetic, plus the likes of “We Found Love,” “Don’t Stop the Music,” and more. There were also lots of costume changes, during the show. “You guys are all rock stars. There is only one first show, you all have a special place in my heart,” she said at the show.

Unfortunately, it appears that she may have gone a little too hard in the pain. From TMZ:

Rihanna has been forced to cancel her concert tonight in Boston after contracting laryngitis, it was announced today.

RiRi was scheduled to perform at the TD Garden, but Live Nation postponed the show this morning, saying, “Unfortunately, following her sold out concert on Friday, Rihanna has contracted laryngitis and per doctor’s instruction is unable to perform this evening.”

She is scheduled to play a show in Baltimore on Tuesday, which Live Nation says is scheduled to go on as planned. The Boston show will be rescheduled.

The 25-year-old will be on the road until summer thanks to the tour, which wraps up July 13 in Finland.
