With the his latest album on the cusp of release, Wale drops the video for its second official single, “LoveHate Thing.”
In the visual, Mr. Folarin gets his suit and tie on while also paying respect to the DC area that raised him. “My affinity grows as the city gets cold/ As you reaching your goals, you gon’ meet you some foes,” spits the MMG rapper.
The subdued instrumentation sets a nice tone while Roc Nation singer Sam Dew handles the buttery vocals.
Wale’s new album, The Gifted, which features Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, Jerry Seinfeld, and more, is in stores this Tuesday, June 25. Watch the Sarah McColgan-directed video for “LoveHate Thing” below.
