The armed robbery struggle keeps piling up in Atlanta and it is still the first month of the year.

Not shortly after a local sneaker boutique was robbed at gunpoint, a trio of masked men invaded a Family Dollar located on Cascade Rd.

Via Cascade Patch:

According to the police report, “on January 3, 2014 3 males walked into Family Dollar. 2 of the males wore black clothing and black hoodies with black masks on their faces. Both males that wore all black clothing had semi automatic pistols in their hands. The taller male had on black gloves and white shoes. The shorter male had either red gloves or a red bandana covering his hands and the pistol.”

Family Dollar did not release information about the amount of money they were able to steal. A manager of the location told officers that just days earlier they received threats from a particular individual who stated he was going to rob the place. It is not clear whether this person was involved or not tin the recent robbery.

There is also no connection at the moment with the December 30 robbery at Fly Kix ATL.

As also police are asking for the community to swallow their S.N.I.T.C.H. pride and contact the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at 404-577-TIPS (8477), onlinewww.crimestoppersatlanta.org or by texting CSA and the tip to CRIMES (274637). There is a $2K reward involved if the information leads to the apprehension of the suspects, which allegedly is the amount that was taken from the register.
