A director for the U.S. State Department was arrested in Washington D.C. Tuesday (Feb. 25). Daniel Rosen, stands accused of soliciting what he thought was a young girl, but was actually and undercover cop.

Rosen, 44, is listed as a director of Counterterrorism Programs and Policy for the State Department. He is charged with a single count of using a device to solicit and juvenile. A judge ordered him held without bond at a court hearing Wednesday, according to NBC Washington.

Fairfax County Police Department spokeswoman Lucy Caldwell said Tuesday that Rosen participated in a “series of exchanges” over with the undercover cop. He is expected to be moved to a jail in Virginia within the next several days.

Rosen’s “security clearance will be suspended and he will be put on administrative leave while this proceeds to its end through any judicial process,” a spokesperson for the State Department said.
