Cleveland Cavaliers forward Iman Shumpert continues to eliminate the guessing as to what he’ll be doing when his NBA days are over. Seeing that Stalley and Machine Gun Kelly are out busy being, y’know, Hip-Hop stars, the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference Championship race have decided to keep it deep in-house and give Shumpert a shot at recording their official 2015 Playoff anthem.

The end result is “The Offs,” a middling song that lacks serious intensity needed for a big arena record but does manage to gel the team’s camaraderie by name-dropping every player on the roster.

“The only way to pick up is to get your funky jazz down…we on that…we on that…,” Shumpert confidently spits on the catchy chorus. While the lyrics lack bite for 2015 standards and the track, produced by New York-local Devon Mack, is a bit on the pedestrian side, the stipulations that go into creating an original song for a bigtime corporation such as the NBA can be a headache, so given the circumstances, this joint is a three-point play.

The accompanying music video is a slideshow of the Cavs highlights which smartly doesn’t just hone in the star player and MVP-hopeful (but doubtful), LeBron James.

Peep Shumpert’s timeout track via the YouTube video below. Also, the irony that this is backed by FOX Sports and Shumpert gave Empire the “IDFWU” treatment isn’t lost on us.
