Tyler, The Creator has been busy with a world tour and contending with the rumors that his Odd Future collective is no more. The West Coast producer and rapper displayed his bizarre style on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Wednesday night while reading portions of a recently uncovered Dr. Seuss book.
Kimmel announced details of the Seuss book, which is titled Which Pet Should I Get? Kimmel comically explains the premise of the children’s tale before bringing out Tyler, while sharing details about the book’s history. Kimmel, who said the book is assumed to have been written between 1958 and 1962, called for an update to the story using Tyler’s services.
Tyler, who was decked out in a full Cat In The Hat getup, comically spits the book in an offbeat one with Kimmel continuously interrupting him and asking for more rhythm. After a while, Tyler seems to get what Kimmel is asking for after some light banter and gets to work.
