Nicki Minaj may be slowing down on the pink wigs, but the hue is clearly still her favorite color. The YMCMB rapper announced today that she has partnered with Beats By Dre for a special edition of the portable Pill speaker that will be colored pink.
“I am so excited about this product. It’s something I actually use,” said Minaj in a press statement. “It’s a little tiny speaker that I can travel with yet the sound is incredibly loud and rich. I knew the barbz would not only love it, but that they’d want it in pink! So, here ya go barbz!!!! My PINK PILL!”
Those exclamation points let you know that it’s real. A commercial for Minaj’s latest collaboration will air on Wednesday, April 10 during American Idol. The spot will also feature a new character to be featured through Beat’s global Pill campaign in 2013. Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine debuted the Pill in October 2013.
Minaj makes the second YMCMB artist that Beats has collaborated with. Previously, Dr. Dre’s brand hooked up with Lil Wayne to drop a pair of special limited edition red headphones.
