Timbaland shared his view on why posthumous Aaliyah collaborations don’t work without his involvement — citing Drake’s “Enough Said” and Chris Brown’s “Don’t Think They Know” as examples — in a recent interview with Revolt TV. Many felt his comments were warranted, but the Virginia producer has since recanted his statements, sort of.

Timbo spread this message on Twitter last night. “I want 2 publicly apologize 2 my lil homie @chrisbrown 4 my statements on revolt regarding the Aaliyah collaborations,” said the Grammy winner, who admittedly likes Brown’s song.

From there, he went on to say that he takes anything involving the deceased songstress personal, because she is still very near and dear to his heart.

More interestingly, Timbaland didn’t mention Drizzy once in his five tweets dedicated to the matter. Perhaps he wasn’t a fan of what the OVO rhymer cooked up.
