Ja Rule recently expressed his desire to create a cookbook but it seems like 2 Chainz has been a bit more proactive. The life of a touring artist can lead to several ill-advised meal choices and when you’re one of the most popular rappers on the planet, you want to make sure always well-nourished.

Thankfully, Tity Boi doesn’t have to break out his own knife and fork after performing a show. As a valued member of his team, Chef Aleem makes sure that crew eats good and lives even better with their belly full. Now it seems like the two intend to make their experiences based on a true story with a new cookbook in the works.

The idea for the book came about when 2 Chainz noticed that the food he would post was becoming the focal point on his Instagram account. “One day when we sat down and discussed it and he noticed a lot of people were taking what he did seriously in terms of the food he posted,” Alem remembers. 2 Chainz has penchant for extragance and hot stoves so the idea seemed to be a no-brainer.

Being a noteworthy cook already takes skill and precision but Chef Alem points out that there are other hurdles when it comes to preparing dishes on the road. “The challenge for me is I really don’t use recipes. We have limited space and time as well,” explains the ATLien who was a distinguished student at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts a few years ago.

2 Chainz appears to be content and his one million+ followers on IG seem to agree. Watch the video below to see how Chef Alem can hook up a steak on the highway.
