Very few MCs have a truly riveting backstory. However, RCA Inspirations‘ newest recruit Dee-1, a middle school teacher turned MC, returns with his second audible blessing of the year via Psalms Of David II.
Again, the New Orleans native has packaged together a body of works for fans who appreciate music with feeling and a message. This time around, Dee provides 17 tracks that mixes new music will interludes that accentuate the tale told here.
Listeners will hear the Big Easy’s influence throughout this mixtape. Credit that, in part, to a supporting cast full of fellow hometown musicians. Mannie Fresh may be the most recognizable name on the roster, but this release is as much a triumph for the N.O. as it is for the MC.
