It appears the NYPD’s shooting struggles have raised eyebrows on the judgement call to use deadly force yet again.

Glenn Broadnax, 35 was the target of police fire back in September after he was reportedly acting erratically and dodging cars in the middle of the street.

Only problem is Broadnax wasn’t the one who caught the bullets. Two women, both middle-aged and innocent in the matter, were hit in the crossfire.

And Broadnax is the one who is being blamed.

Via Huffington Post:

Police said the man made movements suggesting he had a weapon, though he turned out to be unarmed. The officers’ shots missed him, and he was eventually brought down by a stun gun.

Authorities identified the man as Glenn Broadnax, 35, of Brooklyn. He faces multiple counts including menacing, riot, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and resisting arrest. He was in custody, and The Associated Press couldn’t locate a phone listing for his home.

When asked whether or not Broadnax had a gun or not, Douglas Hall, a nearby bystander who says he witnessed the entire ordeal was visibly disgusted at the accusation. “He was reaching for a Metro card. C’mon! There was no gun involved on his part.”

It was also reported that it was the first time the officers in question fired their weapons as well. Sound a bit overzealous or did they do the right thing like a Spike Lee joint?

Check out photos of the Broadnax being arraigned and try to wrap your head around the malarkey.
