Yasiel Plug needs to slow down. The Los Angeles Dodgers star was arrested early Saturday morning (December 28) in Florida after being clocked going 110 mph in his Mercedes-Benz.

Reports Naples News:

Los Angeles Dodger all-star Yasiel Puig was arrested around 9:30 a.m. Saturday on a reckless driving charge after he was caught speeding at 110 mph on Alligator Alley section of Interstate 75, according to Florida Highway Patrol spokesman Lt. Greg Bueno.

Troopers say Puig was driving a 2013 Mercedes westbound in Alligator Alley near mile marker 99.

Puig was released from the Collier County Jail on a “self cash bond” about 1 p.m., according to a jailer. “Self cash” does not necessarily mean he paid it himself, however, that also could mean someone came to the lobby and posted the bond for him; it is not clear which happened in Puig’s case, officials said.

Back in April, Puig—born Yasiel Puig Valdés—was arrested for speeding and reckless driving in Tennessee.

After defecting from Cuba in 2012, Puig came in second place in voting for the National League’s Rookie of the Year award. Check out Puig’s mugshot on the flip.
