A$AP Mob’s backstory is thematically centered around being the underdog, outcast, or anyone bearing a slight resemblance, so it was no surprise that A$AP Rocky pushed that messaging on his latest release, “Riot Rave.” But that’s apparently only part of the movement’s overall vision, as clothing line called VLone just arose.
We’re not sure if the red “V” stands for vendetta here, but the brand’s supporting imagery infers that graphic novel-turned-film had some influence. The aesthetic was contrived by A$AP Bari, the crew’s founder and resident in-house creative strategist, of sorts.
The first releases are simple in principle, but are made with materials that denote a higher price tag than some are accustomed to paying to hooded sweatshirts and t-shirts.
As previously mentioned, like “Riot Rave,” VLone definitely pushes a rebel aesthetic that can be seen in a long film on the official website (find the clothing there as well). See the brand’s first releases on the following pages, as well as still shots from the film shoot.
