Comedy Central’s @midnight has become the antidote for after hours boredom for fans not ready to go to sleep just yet. And that’s not even referencing the hit TV show. Their Twitter account has an entire loyal fan base on its own accord.
Yesterday evening as Wednesday morphed into Thursday, they blessed their trusty followers with a hashtag to trend as they’ve been known to do from time everynight. This time around, it happened to be #GangstaBroadway, an amalgam of Eazy-E and Othello. Of course, the good people didn’t disappoint with even the more skilled ones dipping into their Photoshop arsenal to boost up their wordplay.
A Disney’s Beauty and the Beast snapshot was blessed with a Beats by Dre apparel and Kanye West glasses while one of the more clever users found a way to marry Meryl Strep and Mia X. Without giving too much away for your own enjoyment, let’s just say there are more rap fans than think out there that don’t necessarily identify with Black Twitter.
