If you slept on CyHi The Prynce’s Black Hystori Project earlier this year, here’s your chance to make up for it. The G.O.O.D. Music affiliate debuted a visual for track four, “Mandela,” a rabble-rousing track if we’ve ever heard one.
CyHi activates in African print as he preps for war. The mood escalates not long after a cinematic opening scene, as he then delivers piercing bars like, “I keep the heat, right there underneath the seat/ Got pulled over by the police this week/ They ask me why I got this fully loaded piece with me/ I say ‘Officer I’m just trying to make home peacefully.'”
Director Stephen Garnett brought the crisp treatment to life.
“Mandela” and it’s accompanying video is enough to give Black Hystori Project a listen. Find it here, and see what CyHi The Prynce cooked up below.
