Pharrell’s winning streak has just crossed over to the other digital market following an announcement from 2K Sports that Mr. “Happy” will be curating the official soundtrack for NBA 2K15.

As previously revealed, league MVP Kevin Durant will be this year’s poster child and now all his crisp, pixellated dunks will have a bomb playlist to increase enjoyability factor.

Complex sat in on a press conference with the Academy Award-nominated artist to talk shop about his involvement with this year’s installment and he while he felt that he was up to challenge, he did admit he wasn’t the biggest basketball aficionado all the same.

“I mean, I’m not screaming like, touchdown. But like, you know, after free throw, lay up, couple dunks, I don’t know what a crossover is,” Pharrell shamelessly divulged to reporters. To fill the shoes of previous curators in Jay Z and LeBron James, the superproducer knew he would have to think outside the testosterone.

“Well, I actually had like some people from my staff, they were all girls, and we just talked about it, and I was like, ‘Man I gotta do this, I don’t know if I’m gonna be able to pull this off, because you know I think Jay did it and LeBron, right?'”

Pharrell continued to back his philosophy stating, “There are girls that play the game and there’s a lot of girls that are around it because their boyfriends play it or their friends play it. So I thought it’d be such an interesting twist to have the girls weigh in on the song list, because they’re the ones that listen to it, they listen to it just as much.”
