The cremated remains of a newborn were stolen from a family’s home in Hemet, Calif. Monday (July 28) evening. Little Monroe Arion Terry was a stillborn, who died in May, his ashes were taken off the nightstand in his grandmother’s bedroom. “It’s very emotional,” Sisthy Hawkins told KABC Channel 7 news. Her husband, Robert Hawkins was by her side. “The urn doesn’t have any value to anyone but it’s a really big value to the young kids,” he explained. “They’re growing up, they tried to raise a family and they eventually lost the baby.”

Parents, Lorenzo Terry and Tania Hill, are distraught. “For them to take him, and I don’t know where my baby is at…I just feel like I couldn’t protect him . I couldn’t protect him at at all, because I don’t know who did it,” she said through tears.

The thieves snatched up jewelry, watches, and electronics from the family along with the ashes. It’s unclear if they knew exactly what they were taking, but Hill just wants the urn returned. “They can just drop him off somewhere, call and say where it’s at,” she pleaded. “They don’t even have to say who they are. I just want my baby.”
