The 2014 BET Hip-Hop Awards was shot back in September, but invaded television sets on Tuesday night (October 14). Hosted by Snoop Dogg, the ninth annual show–held at Atlanta’s Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center–featured a list of the biggest acts in rap music.
Many were excited to see the cypher, but BET did a great job securing a performance from just about every artist with a summer anthem. Rae Sremmurd kicked off the festivities with a live rendition of their heater “No Flex Zone.” Other performers included Bobby Shmurda, T.I. and Young Thug.
Common also took the stage to perform the “Kingdom (Remix)” alongside Vince Staples and Jay Electronica. The trio capped off their time on stage by bringing out Michael Brown’s parents.
