The phrase “We Are The Streets” was more than just an album title for The LOX, it’s a lifestyle. Fourteen years later, the Yonkers trio push that mantra on their new The Trinity 2nd Sermon EP, featuring lead single “Let’s Get It.”
“We don’t give a f*ck about you ni**as. We don’t give a f*ck about you b*tches. Ni**as know it’s lit, because we lit it,” chants Styles P on the chorus, igniting the flame with the battle cry in the process. Partners in crime, Sheek Louch and Jadakiss, keep their rhymes gritty, as fans would expect. The raspy-voiced MC actually delivers one of his better verses of recent memory.
