Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous, the show that offered a glimpse into the privileged lives of the ultra-wealthy, is back. The show is being revived by NBC and actor/executive Nick Cannon will serve as the show’s host.
Reports the Hollywood Reporter:
The network has ordered a new pilot for the former syndicated series famously hosted byRobin Leach in the 1980s and ’90s, The Hollywood Reporterhas learned.
America’s Got Talent host Nick Cannon is attached to serve in the same capacity on NBC’s revival.
The reboot comes more than a year after the Style network originally revived the series with Cannon attached. Style was rebranded as the Esquire Network two months after Cannon signed on to the revival, which ceased to move forward at that point.
The new version is said to be an update on the show’s traditional take on documenting the rich. Nick Cannon, who also serve as an executive producer, will take a vital role in who gets profiled besides gaudy extravagance, their philanthropic endeavors will be highlighted, too.
