Representing Chicago, rising rapper Mick Jenkins’ upper echelon thinking is exhibited throughout his stellar project The Water[s], released earlier back in August. That said, the MC debuts a visual for his thoughtful DJ Dahi-produced track “Dehydration.”
We’ve seen the story before, especially from Windy City natives. Detailing the grip-hold gun violence has on his town, Jenkins captures the story of a day with friends gone awry, and how one event can snowball into a vicious cycle of never-ending pain and despair.
