The NFL has declined to punish members of the St. Louis Rams who hit the “hands up, don’t shoot” pose in solidarity with Ferguson before Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders.
Their action, which was done as tribute to slain teen Michael Brown, prompted St. Louis Police Officers Association to call for the Rams to both publicly apologize and be disciplined by the league.
The NFL had this to say in a statement to USA Today: “We respect and understand the concerns of all individuals who have expressed views on this tragic situation.”
