Last year was good to Rome Fortune and 2015 looks to be a continuation in the making, as he and OG Maco connected on the Yep EP. Unfortunately, the Atlanta rapper will be stagnant for a little more than a month while he serves a jail sentence.

Fortune’s 30 day bid begins today (January 16), though he informed fans of his impending absence two days ago.
“bad news first. I gotta turn myself into jail Friday. Stupid a$$ past caught up to me,” he tweeted before exploring the bright side. “I’m only gone be gone for like a mth tho.”
It’s unclear what earned Fortune time behind bars, but fans quickly showered him with encouraging messages soon after he made the announcement.
The slick-talking rapper also appears to be good spirits, and thanked his followers: “i know i dont have a million fans but the ones i do have , u guys f*ckin rock. ALWAYS holdin a guy down.”
If all goes as planned, Fortune will be a free man by spring — just in time to hit the road with IamSu! on his “Eyes On Me” tour. Those dates can be found below along with a new track he debuted earlier today called “Pure.”
