New Balance and staple UK boutique Footpatrol created the footwear equivalent to 100 fire flame emojis and properly titled the release “Encyclopedia.”
Utilizing the iconic New Balance 1500 silhouette, the kicks are inspired by the last edition of the Encyclopedia Britannica, which released in 2012.
The Boston-based manufacturer is at its best when it presents product that’s both functional and fashionable. That said, a combination of black leather and suede on the upper give the shoe a lux look that’s perfect when paired with quality denim or a well-fitted suit on a leisurely day.
Gold and gum accents along with a white midsole make the cipher complete.
The Footpatrol x New Balance 1500 “Encyclopedia” hits select European retailers on Saturday, January 24, meaning U.S. sneakerheads will need to hit the Internets to nab a pair.
