Bobby Brown is going through a trying time right now, and as the R&B singer continues remains by his daughter’s side, his family is coming forward to thank supporters. The family spoke out last night (Feb. 9), during a candlelight vigil for Bobbi Kristina Brown in Rosewell, Ga. “We appreciate everyone’s prayers, we appreciate it all,” cousin Shayne Brown told REVOLT. “The purpose tonight was for everyone to pray and come together as one. To be happy, smile and pray for Krissy. That’s all the family is concerned about right now.”

“Krissy” as she’s called by loved ones, was transferred to Atlanta’s Emory Hospital and placed in a medically induced coma last week. She was found face down in a bathtub on Jan. 31. Authorities are reportedly investigating bruises found on her body.

Earlier in the day, TMZ reported that she would be removed from life support tomorrow, on the third anniversary of Whitney’s Houston’s death, but a source denied the story.

The family released the following statement today, “The false reports that continue to appear in print and on the internet are egregious, false and will be dealt with at an appropriate time. In particular, the false reporting of TMZ, The National Enquirer, The Atlanta Journal Constitution and the Daily Mail (UK) citing, police sources, family sources and Bobby Brown himself, will receive my attention. The desire to be ‘first’ has clouded the judgment of many reporters as they forgo accuracy. This is a criminal investigation and the integrity of that process requires silence.”
