Nicki Minaj recently spoke with Charlie Sloth of BBC 1Xtra. During the discussion she dropped an interesting tidbit about why Tyga didn’t appear on “Truffle Butter.”

A version of the record surfaced featuring a verse from Tyga, but Nicki says that he was never intended to be featured. “The song was on my album, and we don’t know how, but it magically ended up in Tyga’s hands,” she revealed.

But much to Nicki’s surprise, Tyga’s verse leaked. “I think that was a little bit disrespectful, because I had always shown him love,” the YMCMB Barbie explained.

The Los Angeles native called his YMCMB label mate to apologize after the misunderstanding and, we assume, the comments he made in VIBE magazine. Nicki says all discrepancies have been resolved. Stream the interview below.
