As promised, Toronto-bred rapper Jazz Cartier drops his debut mixtape, Marauding In Paradise.
Featuring 16 tracks, including a trap-inspired heater and potential hit called “New Religion,” the project is sonically diverse. Cartier’s tone on wax ranges from self-reflective to braggadocios, depending on the mood set by producer Lantz.
Cartier, during an exclusive interview with Hip-Hop Wired, spoke in great detail about the project and what he wants it to do for Downtown Toronto, which has no representation in rap’s mainstream.
