For those in the know, it isn’t a secret that Portland Trailblazers All-Star point guard and $120 Million dollar man Damian Lillard is a beast on the microphone. After displaying his skills via his “Four Bar Friday” segments and on Sway In The Morning, Dame DOLLA returns with some blistering bars over Future’s “F*ck Up Some Commas” track.
Dame DOLLA (Different on Levels the Lord Allows) hasn’t been active on Soundcloud as of late, but that suddenly changed when the track “Soldier In The Game” surfaced on Monday. The Oakland, Calif. native goes nearly three minutes with no breaks, speaking about his rise as a young hooper in the Bay Area to his star status. There’s also a clever shout to his father, from where he says he gets his confidence.
Overall? Dame DOLLA is spitting some of the most legit bars we’ve heard from an athlete in some time.
“My life came full circle, at the park was throwing left hooks/Now I’m in the league with Steph Curry and Russell Westbrook/Took a couple bumps boy, you never would see my chest shook/My heart came from a lion, his path, only the best took/,” spits Lillard before really heating up with the lyrics.
