A Bay Area man recently put his personal priorities in order and risked his life to snag his BBQ ribs from a burning apartment building.
Robin Wright was interviewed by California’s KMPH after his 3 a.m. barbecue session was interrupted when he smelled smoke at his Fresno apartment complex and rushed the mother and her six-year-old child to safety.
“The only thing I think first is, ‘make sure them ribs is right’ and ran over and got my family, man,” Wright recalled to the station. “I got my kid [and wife] first, then I thought about my ribs, I didn’t want to let the ribs burn, I take pride in what I do, man.”
Depending on you ask, BBQ ribs are serious business. This past Memorial Day, a woman was stabbed in the eye with a fork by another family member has she ate the last one at a picnic.
Wright has since been dubbed as the “BBQ Ribs” man on the Internet and the interview is nearing one million views in just 48 hours.
