“If I’m not in too much pain, I’ll take it,” 21-year-old Tommitrise Collins told her sister before giving birth last week. The Georgia college student completed her psychology exam while in labor, because it was the last day to take the test.
Collins is a student at Middle Georgia State University, and wasn’t on any medication when she took the exam.
She finished the two-hour exam in an hour and 30 minutes. “It took me 4-5 hours after the opening of the test to try to put the pain to the side and do it so I wouldn’t have to do it later and I could enjoy my newborn.”
Her sister, snapped a Facebook photo that went viral.
After 20 hours of labor, Collins delivered a 7 pound 10 ounce baby girl named Tyler Elise. She also passed the test but wasn’t happy with the grade and asked to take it again (after the delivery). She got a “B” the second time.
