Today (Dec. 14), Nike unveiled Kobe Bryant‘s 11th and final on court shoe, the KOBE 11. Before you say it, Nike is fully aware that this new model looks rather familiar (it’s low cut and features a familiar silhouette).

Says Nike Basketball:

At first glance, the low-top and simplified silhouette appears familiar. One could be fooled into believing that they’ve seen this before. Wrong. Look closer. See those pearlescent fibers? Those are thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) threads, an indication of progression; and, despite their subtlety, an announcement of the arrival of an evolution, a stronger iteration of Nike Flyknit.

Fittingly, this progressive technology debuts on the KOBE 11, underscoring the dedication to innovation that has cemented Kobe Bryant’s design legacy, one that rivals, if not extends, the champion’s on-court perfectionism.

Besides the advanced Flyknit upper the shoe also includes a translucent outsole, full length lunarlon foam and a Zoom Air unit in the heel.

The initial Achilles Heel colorway (deep black and red) of the shoe features nods to its Greek God namesake with a logo on the right heel and four stitches to denote the four feet of thread used in Bryant’s Achilles surgery on the left heel.

Check out detailed images of the Nike KOBE 11 below and on the flip.

Seriously, do you think the KOBE 11 is just a high-end remix of the KOBE 8, 9 and 10 or nah?
