Who has more jobs, Swizz Beatz or Pharrell Williams? Score another one for the latter as the Neptunes producer, artist, designer and a host of other titles revealed he is now a co-owner of G-Star RAW jeans.
Pharrell made the announcement via Instagram. “On top of my business. As of today, proud to be a co-owner of @GSTARRAW,” is the caption of a photo of Virginia native with a sea of denim jeans in the back.
He adds, via a press release, “G-Star is an independently minded and forward thinking company. I believe they will be the definitive jeans brand of the 21st century. I am looking forward to be part of that mission and to co-create G-Star’s future.”
Pharrell has been collaborating with G-Star RAW, which was founded in 1989 in the Amsterdam, the last couple of years on his Bionic Yarn brand which transforms plastic found in the ocean into denim.
This is just Pharrell’s latest power move. In January 2016 he brought back a controlling stake in the Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream brands he founded.
