A man named Donald Proudfoot (yes, that’s his name) allegedly shot and killed a man in a dispute over a pair of Air Jordans in Brooklyn. Apparently, this isn’t Proudfoot’s first time running afoul of the law over sneakers.

Reports the New York Post:

Authorities are on the hunt for Proudfoot who they believe shot and killed 46-year-old Sam Cosmore during a dispute involving sneakers at a barbecue at 1383 St. John’s Pl. in Brooklyn Tuesday, cops said.

The 28-year-old had already been arrested last November for beating up his girlfriend and swiping her pair of retro black and red Jordans, as well as a pair of UGGs, according to police.

In Tuesday’s incident, it was unclear who was wearing the shoes and what specifically about the shoes caused the argument.

Proudfoot allegedly fired multiple shot and Cosmore was hit in the chest. Cops later found his lifeless body lying in the street down the block from the barbecue.

There is no goodness in the heart of anyone who purposefully steals a pair of Uggs.

As for what led to the shooting?

“We believe it’s over something about a pair of Air Jordan sneakers,” NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce said per the New York Daily News. “We don’t know what happened with it.”
