President Obama is in the last year of his second term and freshly out of f*cks to give. Yesterday (June 14), during a speech after a press briefing Obama laid into Twitter finger politicians (see: Donald Trump) caught up in the notion that uttering the words “radical Islam” will change things.
“What exactly would using this label accomplish? What exactly would it change?,” said Obama. “Would it make ISIL less committed to try and kill Americans? Would it bring in more allies? Is there a military strategy that is served by this? The answer is, none of the above.”
He added, “Calling a threat by a different name does not make it go away. This is a political distraction.”
Ya think?
Obama went on the reiterate how his administration has pursued strategies to fight extremists, while refusing to consider fighting an entire religion.
