The cast for Marvel’s Black Panther has been confirmed, and it’s just as lit as the Internets anticipated. Yesterday (July 24) at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel officially unveiled members of the cast of the film starring Chadwick Boseman and being directed by Ryan Coogler.
Lupita Nyong’o will be portraying Nakia, a member of the Dora Milaje aka the bad ass bodyguards of T’Challa, who happen to be all women. Danai Gurira, aka Michonne on The Walking Dead, will be Okoye, the leader of the Dora Milaje.
Michael B. Jordan will play Erik Killmonger who is Black Panther’s archnemesis.
Boseman shared a picture of the cast. We can’t front, we almost shed a thug tear looking at that image of Black excellence, that the world will soon see as superheroes, and a supervillain.
Comic fans, we won. More photos on the flip.
