YG is adding some color to Black Friday with his new mixtape.
The Compton/”Bompton” rapper announced on Twitter that he would be blessing his fans with a new mixtape, although he made a personal promise to never drop a free tape again.
The announcement comes just days after he released a new song and video for “One Time Comin’.” His album Still Brazy is still on the Billboard 200 charts 19 weeks after its release. His single “F*ck Donald Trump” grows a new pair of wings every time the Republican presidential nominee says something absurd.
Red Friday will be YG’s first mixtape since 2015’s California Livin’ with Blanco and DB Tha General and will be his first solo mixtape since 2013’s Just Re’d Up. The status of his reunion mixtape with DJ Mustard, 400 Summers, is still pending.
In a bit of irony, the True Blue 88 Jordan 3s are also dropping on the same day. Choose you color accordingly.
