Yo Gotti and his years-long grind yielded a series of notable hits over time, and 2016 has been another typical year of the Memphis rapper popping up in cameos and pushing his particular brand of dope. On the heels of a new mixtape in his Cocaine Muzik series coming next week, Gotti announced that he is now the latest addition to the Roc Nation roster.

Gotti posted a photo of him and Roc Nation boss Jay Z  on Thursday (Dec. 15) with the following caption: “CMG x ROC NATION #ItsOfficial #WhiteOut” which signified the joining of forces between Gotti’s Collective Music Group and Hov’s imprint. While details of the deal are largely unknown, there is a bit of speculation on whether or not the deal is one with the label or management arrangement.

Roc Nation has been busy this year with the signing of DJ Khaled, Rapsody, and releasing The Lox’s latest LP, Filthy America…it’s beautiful, which just dropped today (Dec. 16).

Yo Gotti’s latest single, “Castro,” features Kanye West, Big Sean and Quavo of the Migos trio. Gotti was also featured on West’s “Champions” single this year as well.
