Wale has always wore his emotions on his sleeves, and his social media accounts. The Washington, D.C. rapper recently shared his current feelings about the music industry on Instagram.

In a since-deleted post, Wale voiced a few frustrations with the industry that has made him a both a star and lighting rod for criticism.

In the post he says:

“Tired. I’m tired. I tried his music industry will take your soul then make you want [to] leave. N***as don’t respect humble, n***as don’t respect intelligence. They’ll ask for ‘this or that’ and you deliver it they’ll say it never happened. Let me air out some people, it’ll make headlines. Let me uplift some people it’ll get buried quicker than u can say ‘leanmollyxan.’ They’ll kill you and then worship you when you gone.”

While Wale is most definitely entitled to feel how he wants to feel, his comments fall in line with exactly what J. Cole says in his alleged Wale “diss” “False Prophets” where Cole raps about a successful MC who never seems to be satisfied.

Wale has had two Billboard #1 albums, two Gold-selling albums and has three platinum single he’s credited for. At the same time though, he may have a point seeing as how his tracks like “Black Is Gold” have anemic Youtube views compared to some of the “leanmollyxan” songs he speaks of.
