This latest Star Wars saga isn’t even over and it’s already been announced that Disney has another trilogy in store for the saga that happened a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.
According to Gizmodo, Disney is preparing for life after the Skywalker saga by producing a new trilogy with new characters in a different part of the galaxy.
Having hired The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson to helm the new saga, Disney is optimistic of what Johnson is capable of and are happy to bless him with a clean slate saying, “We all loved working with Rian on The Last Jedi. He’s a creative force, and watching him craft The Last Jedi from start to finish was one of the great joys of my career. Rian will do amazing things with the blank canvas of this new trilogy.”
Johnson knows that with great power comes great responsibility and should fans react to his upcoming Star Wars film with lukewarm to cold responses it could put even more pressure on him to deliver with the new saga.

While we all love Star Wars and everything that comes with it, it will be interesting to see how fans react to completely new characters having bonded with the Skywalker bloodline and all the familiar aliens we’ve grown to love.
