Website Fameolous Daily first reported on the rumor that Franklin was ailing from cancer and on her deathbed, which led to a flurry of condolences and discussion about the singer’s career via Twitter. However, it appears that all of that was just noise as a friend of Franklin’s relayed a message of clarification to entertainment reporter Shaun Robinson with all indications saying she’s in good health.
“Good Morning, Everyone. I just spoke to one of Ms. Franklin’s family friends in my hometown Detroit. They spoke to Aretha moments ago and asked me to tell you please don’t believe this news that was trending. Have a good day,” Robinson tweeted earlier this morning.
