DJ Kool Herc Needs Surgery For Kidney Stones
The recently reported story about Hip-Hop pioneer, DJ Kool Herc’s mystery illness has been specifically confirmed as “serious kidney stones.”
Herc’s sister, Cindy Campbell told The New York Daily News, “He’s been in terrible pain for months…The doctors say they’ve got to come out, but we just don’t have the money.”
With $10,000 in hospital bills and mandatory surgery forthcoming, Campbell is turning to the hip-hop community for financial support for one of their forefathers.
