Constance White is taking over the reigns as Editor In Chief of Essence Magazine.
White’s editorial experience includes stints at top fashion mags Elle and Talk.
She was appointed to the head spot taking over for interim EIC Sheryl Tucker who was placed in the position following the resignation of former Editor in Chief Angela Burt-Murray last November.
Murray became under fire by angry subscribers last August after she appointed Ellianna Placas, a white woman, to the head of the fashion department, before stepping down from her position three months later.
