Jazz Musician Stanley Wright Found Dead In Trunk

The body of heralded local jazz player Stanley Wright was found stuffed in a trunk in New York according to reports by the New York Post.

The body of the former bassists and pianist was discovered after Wright’s 36-year-old son went to his father’s home noticed the door was open and called the authorities.

Officers searched the home, where the body was discovered crammed into steamer trunk in the basement.

According to relatives Wright, 62, was last seen Friday (May 6).

Wright was well known in the community and taught music in a Brooklyn public school as well as teaching piano to local youth.

Wright is the father of actress N’Bushe Wright, who has played in films such as Dead Presidents and Blade.

Authorities are waiting for a forensics report to establish cause of death.
