Rock City Released From Konvict Muzik

Virgin Islands songwriter/performer duo, R. City aka Rock City has officially been let out of their contract for Akon’s Konvict Muzik label.

The writers who’ve penned hits for Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, Jennifer Hudson, R. Kelly and Akon stuck with the label for five years and released eight mixtapes without receiving a release date for their own debut project.

Frustrated, Rock City later released their PTFAO or Put the F**king Album Out campaign to make the industry aware of their plight until they met with Akon in March 2011 where the decision was made to make them free agents.

With new freedom Rocky City’s preparing to release their debut album Free At Last off their own label Rebelution Records.

Free At Last is set to hit stores this summer.
