G I R L
The visual support for Pharrell’s G I R L LP has been as impressive as the music itself. But things reached a whole new level over the weekend, as lovers of fine art attended a gallery curated by the Neptune.
Pharrell’s G I R L agenda is coming full circle. Following the album, an audible ode to the beauty and grace of women, the simple title has been a attached to a unisex fragrance created in collaboration with KAWS and COMME des GARÇONS.
Black Twitter formed like Voltron once more and unleashed some of that good old slander on Pharrell Williams today over the album cover for his latest project, G I R L. The cover features Skateboard P with three women of fairer skin, which prompted some angry responses and funny memes on the social media network.
The turn around for Pharrell’s G I R L album is unlike anything we have seen from the renowned producer. After last week’s announcement about the release, the Neptune affiliate shocks fans again by streaming the project guilt free via iTunes Radio.
Pharrell’s current run has us wondering if his season ever truly ended. He made news earlier this week with his forthcoming sophomore LP, G I R L, and he closed just as strong by unveiling the tracklist on the same his Billboard magazine cover was publicized.
Pharrell surprised fans with the abrupt announcement of his upcoming G I R L LP, which drops in a little over a week. BBC 1’s Zane Lowe picked the Neptunes producer’s brain prior to his performance with Nile Rodgers at the BRIT Awards at London’s O2 Arena.
Pharrell is officially the maestro of the show. Following a GRAMMY win and a performance at NBA All-Star Weekend, the Neptune is slated to rock the stage at the Academy Awards, but before then, he’ll drop his sophomore LP, G I R L.
