Junior Seau suffered from brain damage sustained from his years in the NFL doctors revealed. Seau committed suicide last May and tested positive for chronic traumatic encephalopathy, a degenerative disease found in post-mortem individuals who have a history of concussions or other kinds of head injury.
NFL players from the past, and present are in need of help, whether they know it or not. Unlike other figures in the spotlight, the mental health of professional players isn’t always looked at until it’s too late.
