Marvel’s summer release of Ant-Man was a huge success to the tune of $409 million worldwide, especially considering the character isn’t largely known outside of comic book circles. With the character’s brand proven to be a hit amongst audiences, it was only inevitable a sequel begin pre-production.
When you have a billion dollar franchise, the goal is to keep operating what isn’t broke. Marvel is putting plenty eggs in the basket holding the Ant-Man potential and production has already begun.
