A$AP Rocky is still awaiting trial in a Swedish prison with several reports stating the conditions were less than satisfactory, and contact with the rapper has been minimal. The U.S. State Department has weighed in on the ordeal of the A$AP Mob star in a new statement.

A director for the U.S. State Department was arrested in Washington D.C. Tuesday (Feb. 25). Daniel Rosen, stands accused of soliciting what he thought was a young girl, but was actually and undercover cop.

Domestic and foreign officials around the globe have seen an increase of young Islamic extremists turning to Hip-Hop and spoken word to express disdain towards their opposition. Now, the State Department is using a form of “Hip-Hop Diplomacy” to combat the occurrence of so-called “Jihadi Rap,” and to build dialogue between the divided factions.

The U.S. Department of State released an unclassified report Tuesday (Dec. 18) about the September terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, stating “systematic failures” in security. The review disclosed many of the main reasons for the faulty resources and security, which resulted in the death of four Americans,  including U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens.
